Degrees and Certifications:

Christopher Dwyer

Hi there! My name is Christopher Dwyer and this is my first year at HCS, teaching the BOCES middle school class. I am very excited to be joining the staff this year and very excited about the year to come!

My background is mainly in elementary education, having gotten my Bachelor's degree from SUNY Potsdam in 2005 in Childhood Education. In 2007, I earned my Master's degree in Literacy for birth-grade 6. For five years, I worked at Hermon-DeKalb Central School as an AIS reading/math TA. After those five years, I left for a while to try my hand at Electrical Engineering. After four years of that, I realized that my heart would always lie in educating students. I returned to the local schools last year as a substitute teacher until I was hired by BOCES over the summer.

When I am not teaching, I love to read, play with my two children, and perform with the St. John's Conservatory Theater in Ogdensburg. I also love to go camping, singing, and working with computers.
