Welcome to Heuvelton Elementary School! I am so very honored to be the Elementary Principal at such an amazing school. At HCS we pride ourselves in building relationships with our students, families and community members. We are a group of lifelong learners, and hope to empower our students to be the same.
We look forward to working alongside you in fostering the love of learning in our students. As Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; Together we can do so much.” Thank you for entrusting your child’s education to our staff! I wish you all a successful year! Please enjoy reading a little bit about me below; as I am new to the HCS family.
Recently married to Dave LeBeau, I have two children, Parker and Sadie, and three stepchildren, Andrew, Grant and Emma. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, especially with my two dogs, Bella and Lucy. A North Country native, I graduated from Potsdam Central Schools. I received a B.S. in Childhood Education and a B.S. in Special Education from St. John Fisher College.
I began my teaching career in Lincoln County Schools, near Charlotte, NC. After two years teaching in the South, I returned to the area, first accepting a position at Norwood-Norfolk Elementary School and later transitioning to Lawrence Avenue Elementary. During this time I received a M.S. in K-5 Reading and Mathematics from Walden University
In 2015 I became a Regional Teacher Leader under the Strengthening Teacher Leader Effectiveness Grant, which led to a position as an Instructional Math and Literacy Coach for St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES. While working with teachers across the region, I completed the School Building Leadership Program at St. Lawrence University, which led me to the wonderful position as Heuvelton Elementary Principal.
