Degrees and Certifications:
I am a North Country native and feel lucky to be able to raise my daughter here. I have been teaching at Heuvelton Central School since 2012. I have a B.A. in History with a Psychology minor and an M.S.T. in Secondary Social Studies, both of which are from SUNY Potsdam. When I first went to college I thought I wanted to become a school psychologist, but I quickly realized that I struggled with the statistics that psychology courses require. I went back to school in 2008 and discovered my love for history and education. Currently, I teach U.S. History, Government, Economics, and AP US. I work hard to try and create engaging lessons utilizing technology to help bring history to life. Each of my students are held to high standards and often failure is not an option! I am currently the adviser for National Honor Society and Student Council, in addition to organizing international trips for students every other year.
