COVID Update 1/5/21
We were notified by Public Health that three staff members and three students tested positive for COVID-19 during the holiday break. There was no exposure to staff or students at school.
Additionally, today we were notified that one BOCES staff member associated with a program hosted at Heuvelton Central School has tested positive for COVID-19. Impacted individuals were isolated and sent home, per isolation procedures.
BOCES preemptively contacted families who may be affected, but keep in mind that anyone who is deemed to be a direct contact of the positive individual will be officially contacted directly by Public Health.
All positive cases associated with our school will be reported here: https://schoolcovidreportcard.health.ny.gov/
We are experiencing a spike in COVID cases in our county. Please continue to diligently practice social distancing, mask-wearing in public, and proper hygiene and stay home if you are feeling sick.
As a reminder, if you have concerns and would like to seek COVID-19 testing proactively for you or your child, there are testing sites available throughout the county.
