Four students will be recognized this year and are scheduled to speak at graduation. The students in this group have taken our most rigorous high school courses, including Advanced Placement courses, and have earned college credit through Paul Smith’s College and/or SUNY Potsdam.
Jakob Ladouceur, son of Jamie Ladouceur and Elizabeth McCullough-Ladouceur, is ranked first in the Heuvelton Central School Class of 2023 with a 97.15 cumulative grade point average. Mr. Ladouceur has completed multiple AP courses and earned several college credits through SUNY Potsdam. He also completed the New Visions - Medical Careers program through Northwest Career & Technical Education Center. Jakob will be attending SUNY Oswego in the fall, where he will study Biology.
Connor Mudge, son of Kevin and Patty Mudge, is ranked second in the Heuvelton
Central School Class of 2023 with a 96.06 cumulative grade point average. Mr. Mudge has completed one AP course and earned several college credits through SUNY Potsdam and Paul Smith’s College. Connor will be attending St. Lawrence University in the fall, where he plans to study Digital Media & Film.
Nathan Mashaw, son of Todd and Arlene Mashaw, is ranked third in the Heuvelton Central School Class of 2023 with a 95.47 cumulative grade point average. Mr. Mashaw has completed multiple AP courses and earned several college credits through SUNY Potsdam and Paul Smith’s College. Nate will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the fall, where he will study Exercise Science and compete in intercollegiate basketball.
Lily Spooner, daughter of Jon Spooner and Julie Finley, is ranked fourth in the class with a GPA of 94.73. Ms. Spooner has completed multiple AP courses and earned several college credits through SUNY Potsdam and Paul Smith’s College. Lily will be attending SUNY Potsdam in the fall, where she will study Early Childhood Education.
