Welcome to Heuvelton Central School District. We are excited to enroll new students and have attached the forms below that are needed for registration.

Once the online forms are complete, please call to schedule an appointment (315) 344-2414 ext. 28871.

In addition to these completed forms, you will need proof of residency in the form of a utility bill or Heuvelton address on your license AND proof of identity (i.e. driver's license).

Heuvelton Central School Pre-Kindergarten Program:

HCS is presently accepting applications for our Pre-Kindergarten Program for the 2024-25 school year.
 
With the goal of improving the educational program for our youngest learners, in January the Heuvelton Central School District applied for a grant from the NYS Education Department to convert our current two half-day sessions, offered in the AM and PM, to two full-day sessions.
 
Unfortunately, grant applications are still being reviewed and NYSED has not published a notification date for applicants.  We know that childcare is a high priority for families and child-care providers alike, so we will provide notice to the public as soon as we are contacted.

If the grant is not approved, we will continue to offer half-day sessions in the AM and PM, so please communicate your preference when registering your child.  Students must be residents of the Heuvelton Central School District and must be 4-years-old by December 1 of the school year in which they are enrolling.

Applications are available online (link above) and are due no later than Friday, May 10, 2024.  All sessions are limited to 18 students.  If applications exceed the available space, a lottery will be held for applications received by the deadline.  Applications received thereafter will be placed on a waiting list.

Please note:
In order for an application for PreKindergarten to be processed, parents must provide the following documents prior to the start of school:
  • Child’s birth certificate (must be submitted with application)
  • Physical Exam, Health History Form and Immunization records
  • Proof of residency in the Heuvelton Central School District (ie. Copy of current lease, mortgage receipt, utility bill such as gas/electric)
  • Parent’s/Guardian’s photo identification with current address
  • Custody documents or proof of guardianship/foster care, if applicable

Heuvelton Central School Kindergarten Program:
 
Heuvelton Central School is presently registering students who are not currently enrolled in our PreK program and will be attending the Kindergarten Program during the 2024-25 school year. If you are an HCS resident and have a child who will be 5 years old by Dec. 1, 2024 that will be attending the HCS Kindergarten Program, please contact General Secretary, Brenda Simmons at 344-2414 ext. 28871 or e-mail [email protected] by Friday, May 10, 2024.
