7-12 Principal

As the 7-12 principal of Heuvelton Central School it is my pleasure to welcome you to the start of the 26-27 school year.

Having graduated from HCS and having had the privilege of teaching here, I look forward to working with staff, students, and families once again. During my time away from my Heuvelton family, I have had the opportunity to gain over 20 years of administrative experience as a Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Building Principal. It is my goal to apply that experience toward the success of our students.

My education philosophy is simple: provide our students with the tools necessary to make a positive impact socially and in the workforce, wherever they may go. It is our job as educators to provide the foundational skills necessary for our students to make informed decisions and excel in a workforce that is continuously changing. One of my focal points will be student ownership of academics and behavior.

I am thankful for this opportunity and look forward to working in partnership with you to bring our students here at HCS the best education possible. Your support and involvement are critical pieces in this mission.

Thank you once again and I look forward to meeting or reconnecting with you. Go Bulldogs!

Sincerely,

Larry H. Nichols
7-12 Principal
