Dave and Mary Pierce have been staunch supporters of HCS for many years and their annual support of the sciences is just a small part of their generosity.  This year, due to the limited NYS Regents exams in June, some students are being recognized for their classroom average achievement.

MS. GINGER COLLER 
The Mastery Award is given to students whose overall English 9 average, for the school year, was 90%+.  These students learned to complete most or all their work, usually made revisions, and began to share out more in classes. A certificate and a personalized pen, are given by Ms. Ginger Coller, and presented to:  Tristan Adams, Rhys Brossoit, Ashleigh Calton, Isabella Gibson, Rylin McAllister, Raya McGaw 
The Distinction Award is given to students who have earned an overall average of 95%+ in English 9 for the school year.  During remote days, despite hybrid, these students displayed impeccable strength in perseverance. They completed their work early to make revisions, were in constant communication with me - email or google classroom message, and shared willingly during class.  Some even did one-on-one google meets.  A certificate and a personalized pen, are given by Ms. Ginger Coller, and presented to:  Drew Blevins, Katie Cunningham, Lakan Martin         
The Effort Award is given to students who have shown the most improvement in English 9 during the school year.  These students improved their work habits, began to participate more in class discussions, began to revise work, meet deadlines and learned to communicate better with me and their peers.  A certificate and a personalized pen, are given by Ms. Ginger Coller, and presented to:  Trystan Biller, Dylan Demers, Landan Denner, Camden Johnson, Chasity Johnson, Caprice Keith, Avery Macaulay, Israel Paradise, Mikayla Ritchie, Kaylee Simmons-Noel, Leah Thatcher, Garrett Wagner, Landon Wiegandt, Joe Wrobel 
The Student of Integrity Award is given to English 9 students who exuded Integrity, Self Confidence, Respect and Motivation both in the classroom and during remote days.  On a daily basis this student: was prepared, brought a positive attitude and displayed pride in completing her work. For being an all-around stellar human being and a role model for her peers, during the 2020-21 school year, I am honored to present the following student a Certificate and a $10.00 State St Deli gift card, given by Ms. Ginger Coller to: Lakan Martin (99% average)              
 
MR. SIDNEY GITTLEMAN

COLLEGE AWARDS
Rochester Institute of Technology has presented the Innovation and Creativity Award to:  Chevelle Keith.  This award recognizes Chevelle’s outstanding achievement.  Chevelle has earned a scholarship worth $32,000 over four years.
A certificate given by the University of Rochester in presenting the Xerox Award for Innovation & Information Technology is presented to Daniel Griffith.  This award is in recognition of outstanding achievement in the pursuit of innovative approaches and an appreciation for the possibilities of technology.  Dan has earned a scholarship worth $40,000.00 over four years.
A certificate given by the University of Rochester in presenting the Frederick Douglass & Susan B. Anthony Award is presented to Mia Pavon.  This award is in recognition of outstanding commitment to social justice and dedication to continuing their unfinished life’s work.  Mia has earned a scholarship worth $40,000.00 over four years.
A certificate given by the University of Rochester in presenting the George Eastman Young Leaders Award is presented to Deanna Bellinger.  This award is in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and leadership.  Dee has earned a scholarship worth $40,000.00 over four years.
The University of Rochester has presented the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award to Isabella Doyle.  This award is in recognition of outstanding achievement and superior intellectual promise in the field of science.  Bella has earned a scholarship worth $40,000.00 over four years.
LeMoyne College has presented the LeMoyne Heights Award to Chevelle Keith.  This award is in recognition of outstanding achievement and commitment to academic excellence, leadership and service, while reaching “new heights” in and out of the classroom.   LeMoyne College is proud to have selected Drew.  He has earned a scholarship worth $59,000 over four years.
Elmira College has presented the Elmira College Key Award to Marva Ford.  This award is in recognition to an outstanding student who completed their junior year.  Marva has earned a minimum scholarship worth $80,000 over four years.
