A Message from Principal Farrand

Dear Families of the Heuvelton Community,

Late this afternoon, rumors of a threat of violence against the school circulated in the upper grades. A thorough investigation and student interviews were conducted. Law enforcement and school administration determined the threat was unfounded.

We are proud of the student who reported the rumor to school staff. Our administration took swift action to ensure there was no threat to students’ and staff safety. We know the recent break-in has our school community on high alert. This vigilance and shared responsibility is a reminder of how we work together as one community. In the spirit of this shared responsibility, we would ask that you have a conversation with your children, and let them know that if they see something, they should say something. As a school staff we are committed to providing your children with a safe and supportive place to spend their days. If you have any questions, or any concerns at all please feel free to reach out to me.

With Care,

Jill Farrand
