Students in Mrs. Cushing’s, Mrs. Fregoe’s, and Ms. Jarvis’ classes would like to wish the entire Heuvelton community a very Happy Thanksgiving! Please sit back, relax, and enjoy our very own Heuvelton Macy’s Parade.
Students worked hard to craft a “problem story” from the perspective of their parade balloons. The situations they cooked up were truly a feast for the imagination—everything from Santa trying to make it to the bakery but floating off the parade route, to being stopped by Binx the cat, and even getting tricked by Lucy once again. Once their stories were “stuffed” with creativity, they brought them to life by building their balloon creations.
Throughout the process, students worked seamlessly as a team—listening, sharing, and adding their ideas to the table like one big Thanksgiving potluck. The result? Our very own Heuvelton Macy’s Day Parade, made with hard work, humor, and a cornucopia of creativity.
We hope you gobble up the fun and enjoy the show. Wishing you all a warm, joyful, and truly wonderful Thanksgiving!
